This page provides information about how you can manage your personal data in the Wantzy app, including how to request account deletion.
Account Deletion Request
Steps to Request Account Deletion:
- Email Us: Send an email to support@wantzy.io with the subject line "Account Deletion Request"
- Include Required Information: In your email, please include:
- Your registered email address
- Your username (if applicable)
- Confirmation that you want to permanently delete your account
- Verification: We will verify your identity and respond within 7 business days
- Confirmation: Once processed, we will send you a confirmation email that your account has been deleted
Data Types and Retention
Data That Will Be Deleted:
- Profile Information: Username, email address, profile pictures
- User Content: Want lists, saved items, preferences
- Activity Data: App usage patterns, interaction history
- Settings: Notification preferences, privacy settings
- Social Data: Friends lists, shared content, comments
Data That May Be Retained:
- Legal Compliance: Data required by law (retained for legal retention periods)
- Security Logs: Anonymized security and fraud prevention data (90 days)
- Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics (no personal identifiers)
- Financial Records: Transaction history for accounting purposes (7 years)
Data Processing Timeline
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- Immediate: Account access is disabled upon processing
- Within 30 days: Personal data is deleted from active systems
- Within 90 days: Data is removed from backup systems
- Retention Period: Some data may be retained for legal compliance as outlined above
Data Export
Before deleting your account, you may request a copy of your data by emailing support@wantzy.io with the subject line "Data Export Request".
